Hybrid DK
Introduction
Yo,I'm a lvl 11x DK with a base dex of 60/base accuracy 116.The reason i am writing a guide now is
because i find its time i help out those who were starting a new DK/currently playing 1 and face some
problems that i face last time.Well,i was a bandwagon DK T_T but i still receive alot of help from fellow
DKs in this community so it's time i do my part by contributing.I play in MapleSEA Aquila and started on
16th April this year.Sorry for my blunt English,i will try to improve.Any constructive comments will be
appreicated.If you wanna flame me,please do so in PM.
About DK
Dragon knights ( DK ) had LOTS of weakness,in fact they are highly overrated.In my opinion,however,all
3 warrior class are equally good.DK had no power guard,which mean we take extra damage from bump.
However,we have elemental resist and hyperbody which is the reason why priest love us.DK is 1 of the
fastest leveling job from lvl 80 onwards,this is however subjective,but majority of the community agree
so.DK deals 1 of the best,if not best damage during the 80s to 90s.A well made DK will be able to deal a
constant average of 9k per buster ( 3k/3k/3k ) at level 80.However DK lacks the ability to solo well,but
with the introduction of Aqua dungeon,its possible to solo for decent EXP/hr without burning pot.Credit

In this guide,we will focus on how to remove the main weakness of DK which is lack of speed/lack of accuracy
and lack of priest.
Low dex or high dex?
In my opinion,low dex is from 30~80 dex.Anything higher is consider high dex.
Low dex Vs High dex.
Expensive and costly equips Vs Cheaper equips
Limited to accuracy gear unless with godly overrall Vs Freedom to use anything.
Higher damage Vs Lower damage
The so call " Perfect DK "
135~140 Speed with speed pills
119 accuracy with str cape and 127 + 10 accuracy with dex cape + accuracy pot
As low dex as possible
Funded DK,however could achieve the above easily.Unfunded DK will take much more effort but it can be
done.
This guide is target for those who already had basic knowledge of DK so i will skip the basic stuff like
adding HP up etc etc.

Training ground from Level 1 to 50
Most warrior give up at level 3x/4x or even 2x.Don't give up,DK pay off at level 80 when you max buster ^_^
Level 1~10
Kill in this order :
Green snails->Blue snails->Red snails
Shoot for 2-3 hit KO.
10~20
Slimes->Orange mushroom->Pigs or exchange quest.
20~30
Bubbling at kerning->Green mushroom->Ant tunnel 1~2
30~40
Ant tunnel til around 35 when you have enough in mastery,time to go wild boars for 2 levels.
From 37 to 50.I did curse eyes.The exp was good but it's VERY BORING.You can do evil eyes
from level 37~45 however.
Level 50~70 ( The path of richness )
You will be training on monster that give good drops/mesos and this will be the last stretch
of hell before you begin to lose money at level 8x
In this order
Jr yeti in icy path 1 -> icy path 2 Jr yeti and hectors.
Finally move to hectors at the 3rd map.
Expect a %/hr of 12~15 between 50~60.
I DO not encourage zombies unless you have a max HS priest to partner you or a strong backing.
There's a high chance you will get KS out of map.
For Maplesea Players.
At level 54,proceed to forest of golem at sleepywood.
And power level your way to 80.At level 58,i got 25%/hour without 2x EXP.
Skill order : Pure hybrid style
Max polearm mastery -> Max polearm booster -> Max hyperbody -> Max spear master -> Max spear booster
Rest to any where you want.( I add mine to hp recovery rofl )
Level 70~80
Add 1st point to ER and add spear crusher ( buster ) until ( 2 hit 3 target ) and stall skill points.
At level 21,buster will hit 3 hit 2 target,and this is when you will proceed to zombie 1 hitting them for
good exp and mesos.
Ideal gear to shoot for :
Crusader mail with at least 3 10% pass
Lcarus (2) cape with 10 dex
Brown bandana with 6 accuracy ( MapleSEA )
Helmet scrolled with as many 10% def as possible
Hybrid snowshoes with 3-6 accuracy and rest of the slot scrolled with 60% shoes speed.
8~10 attack dark/blood emperor
Budget gear that do just fine.
Crusader mail with 1 10% a few 60%
Ragged/nap cape with 8-10 dex
4-6 accuracy snowshoes
8~10 attack work glove
Reason why YPP suck for 70s~80s
YPP is only effective if you break them in 2 hit,KO both pepe and yeti in 1 hit.But when you reach that level,there are much better monster to train on already.
Level 80~100 Training spot
Death teddies -> Master Death teddies -> Grim ( with extremely good gear and accuracy )
I will write more about Grim when i have the time.
Level 100~110
Grim starts to get slower from 10%/hr and slowly down to 6-7%/hr at lvl 11x.
Start getting use to bone fish in aqua dungeon.
